Here is one for you.

Three men agree to rent 1 room for $30.00.
Each pay $10.00 a piece to the hotel manager and go to there room.
The manager thinks $30.00 is to much to pay for 1 room so he tells the bellhop to take $5.00 back to the 3 men but on the way up to the room the bellhop figures he can't split $5.00 3 ways.So what he did was he gave $1.00 back to each and he would keep the other $2.00.

So here is the thing.
If the 3 men got back a dollar that made them pay $9.00 a piece.
3 X 9 = 27 plus to $2.00 the bellhop kept = 29.
Where did the other dollar go?

The answer to the question above is:

They didn't pay $30 for the room they paid $25 due to the $5 discount $3 went back to the men and buddy stashed the $2 in his pocket...$25+$3+$2 = $30..

Ok here's some algebra. We starty with a given... A = B
Then we multiply both sides by A so AA = AB... now we subtract BB from both sides...AA-BB = AB-BB divide both sides by A-B so (A-B)(A+B) = B(A-B) now factor out that A-B on both sides & you are left with A+B = B... now looking back at the given.... since A = B we change the A to B so B+B = B or 2B = 1B factor out B & ... 2 = 1...

Wow, that is messed up. I got one:
I cause wars and rebellions.
I am wanted by all, but denied by many.
I taunt those who cannot have me.
I am found in history, but my opposite is found even more.
What am I?
