The Superman movie franchise is being rebooted in 2012 and casting is already underway for the lead roles of Superman and his mild-mannered alter ego, Clark Kent.

According to a few entertainment industry publications, both John Cena and Dwayne 'The Rock" Johnson are being considered for the lead role in Superman: Man Of Steel.

IMDB.com reports that the film is being executive produced by Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight") and will be directed by Zach Snyder.

Aside from John Cena and The Rock, actor Joe Manganiello ("Spider Man 3," "True Blood") is also being considered for the part.

superman is a great movie, all of them. i really hope they dont ruin it by casting a wrestler as superman.
the rock can act but i dont think he'd be a good superman but cenas movies suck worse than his wrestling

I didn't comment on Cena because I have no idea who he is as I'm not a big wrestling fan but I do think most wrestlers should stick to wrestling but I guess they tend to sell movie tickets. I just hope they don't turn MMA into a joke but it has started

wrestlers are not actors well, they sort of are but they cant act woth crap out side the ring. lol

What does WWE expect? They put the movies in limited theatres, then the news get released thats its coming to dvd in 2 weeks so instead of wasting on a movie you might think sucks, you can just rent it, and not lose as much
