The godfather of Montreal's mafia,Nicolas Rizuto, was shot last evening at 17:45 from the outside backyard of is home while he was inside with 2 women that became witnesses.Police don't know yet if it's for the replacement of the patriach or revenge from 30 years ago,Boss Paolo Violi assasination.His son Vinny Rizoto is his in prison in the US for the murder of ex mafia leaders in the states The Bonnano family.I am sure Nic, 86 years old,is a victim of the past events that lately happen in Montreal's police crack down on the sicilian mafia.

There has been a changing of the guard in the Montreal Mafia's activities for several years.. The son serving a sentence in the US for a previous assasination, Paulo Renda dissapeared without a trace, Nicks grandson assasinated in 2009.. It may be Mafia related or a turf war with other criminal organisations..
Time will tell..And there will be more actions in the following weeks.. There have been criminal fires set in 4 pizzerias and bars in the Montreal area this week, are these related to what happened yesterday ?? Probably.
The Mafia has always had a strong presence in Montreal and things like this are expected in such a lucrative market..
