Ps3 error code

My nephew gets an error code 80029C77 when he tries to do a software update,and wont let him go on line,or install newer software like COD black ops,any opinions? Thanks...

Update via usb or ms. You can download the official s/w from sony along with instructions on how to flash, folder structure, etc.

go to Network Settings.
Go all the way to the bottom and disable the media server connection
