I gave you your own thread dona, as you were hijacking the other two. I think you'll get better help this way as well.

There is no way you will be able to pick up Astra at 28.2 unless you drill a hole in the Earth. Your horizon from Jamaica might get you to about 4w but no further east then that, you'd need to be in Europe or Northern Africa.

... what if they moved the Eifel tower to Montego bay and the dish was mounted on top of it ?:D

Without a motorized dish you will have to pick one sattellite.(IA5) 97w has the most channels, about 250,but most are foreign language.Go to "What's On FTA" for a clear view of ku channels.Lyngsat.com is the most popular one.Dish Pointer.com is a good site for aiming your dish.Let us know how you make out.G'luck:yes:

I haven't received my openbox yet so I haven't had the chance to test it yet. I would suggest a c band scan on Galaxy16 at 99w, many interesting and useful channels. The ion channels on 103w are also excellent.
hi how can i get the OpenBox S9 HD PVR .dbs file for CW & 85W mux.

dona, either your into setting up a cable company or love fooling around with birds and receivers like myself.
all those are easy stuff still. hard to explain but you'll get it after a fee headaches.
