With Brett Favre's NFL record of 297 straight regular-season starts on the line, the Minnesota Vikings say the star QB is still a game-time decision for tonight's matchup with the New York Giants in Detroit.

Coach Leslie Frazier told The Minneapolis Star-Tribune today that "there's a chance [Favre will play] because he's Brett, but he still has pain" in his injured shoulder.

Favre told USA Today on Sunday that he doubted he would be able to play despite the game being postponed a day, ''but it does buy a little time.'' The 41-year-old barely practiced all week as he tried to recover from a sprained SC joint in his throwing shoulder.

Frazier says Favre did not throw during a walkthrough Sunday, but that the extra day off has helped him.

Favre is listed as questionable. The game originally was scheduled for Sunday afternoon but got pushed back after the Metrodome's roof collapsed during a massive snowstorm.

I guess they will start him just to keep the streak going. If they want to win the game they will have to take him out.
