Olympian Rulon Gardner, who won a gold and a bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney is entering a new kind of competition — "The Biggest Loser."

Gardner, 39, will appear on the 11th season of the hit NBC reality weight loss show.

Gardner competed in the Olympics in the 130 kg division. His competition size was listed at 6'2", 256 pounds. Previews of Season 11, which aired on Tuesday's Season 10 finale, show his current weight as 474.
The largest Season 11 contestant weighs in at 507 pounds, after losing 112 pounds on her own, according the NBC's website.

The awkwardly named "couples" edition, which actually pairs spouses, siblings, parents and children or close friends, debuts Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Gardner and his friend Justin Pope will be among 11 teams of two living at the "Biggest Loser" ranch and trying to transform their bodies and lives while competing for a $250,000 prize and the title of "Biggest Loser."
