I have been noticing on my daily travels a significant increase in accidents, especially major ones on the roads and highways. During the season peope have a tendency to have shortened patience and therefore follow to close and make more mistakes in their haste. So please when your out there driving, for whatever the reason, fall back and be careful and more aware of the drivers around you. Noone ever wins in an accident regardless of whose fault it is. So many drivers don't realize dangerous weaving in traffic and speeding gets you no further ahead. All you have to do is hit a red light at your next intersection and any time you think you have gained is lost.

We don't want to be posting and reading any bad news here

Take your time. Stay live. Enjoy the holidays and be healthy and safe for 2011.

Have a great holiday season everyone.

Great post Wes block, had a near miss taking my 82 year old Father Christmas shopping, we were crossing in a parking lot to enter a store when a car was coming, there was lots of distance and I assumed the car would stop to allow us to cross in a pedestrian crossing but noooooo this clown didn't even slow down, it was an old lady driving. It was such a close call my heart was racing a mile a minute for at least 10 minutes. Expect the unexpected out there this time of the year. The malls are packed and it seems a competitive spirit is superseding the Christmas spirit at times.
Be careful and have a safe and happy holiday folks.

Just this week in southern Ontario three intoxicated young people were having a loud argument in a parking lot with one lying shirtless in the snow. A lady went over to try to calm them down and was run down by the driver. Her leg was backed over and her ankle crusehed. Yesterday a lady getting off a bus was hit by a 63 year old drunk driver and suffered head injuries. With strick drunk driving laws here in Ontario some people still don't get the message. The time to put away the keys is before the first drink after that your judgement can not be relied on.

Could not agree more, if you KNOW you are going out partying "LEAVE YOUR CAR @ HOME" or at the very least arrange or plan alternate means of transport home. The risks are simply not worth chancing...

Bus, Metro, Walk <br />

Be safe everyone, 50$ for a taxi is a small cost compared to a lost life..Or drivers permit..

good message Wes and like Trump mentioned you don't have to be behind the wheel but watch out for th nut that is as there have been a couple of hit and runs in this area where people got mowed down and killed as well.

Very nice suggestions...I agree... I also want to realize you the edgy status of road traffic. You just have to say one time..."first you" whenever you come across some one on the road. I assure you that the 90% of the accident will be reduced. I guarantee. Take care all of you.
