2 TB HDD installation shows successfully, but not showing Drive in MyComputer

hi guys i bought a 2 TB HDD today and connected to DeckTop & LapTop, on both of them shows INSTALLATION SUCCESSFULLY DONE,but in MyComputer it is not showing Drive : like E: or F: or G:,.

And I already look in Bios setting it is showing there also, but it is not showing after completely Boot up Computer.

So can any body let me know, is this the HDD problem or some thing wrong in PC or LapTop.

I got Windows Vista Copmuter,.

Hope some one help me , what is wrong in HDD.

Gotto "Control Panel ...> System and Security...> Administrative Tools...> Computer Management...> Storage...> Disk Management...> On the toolbar goto Action...> Rescan Disks

Try that bud. You should see it listed

i can't see the Drive :, so there is no way to format it.

Most drives come with a disk with a program to help install. One of the steps would be to make a logical drive and them format it. But going into start menu, right clicking my computer, click manage, disk management, and select the disk there- right clicking it should bring up the options

thanks a lot for the answers, I formated this hdd by connecting externally, now it is shows on MyComputer.

i use gparted bootable cd, over there it is showing all hdd connected to pc then i format this new hdd.
