Cobra----
Just a quick reminder kids---Canada-Sweden is on at 3:30 EST today...they both are unbeaten and this promises to be a great game.
Here`s a few added points before today`s game.....
As per TSN....
Canadian forward Jaden Schwartz will miss the rest of the World Junior Championship with a fractured ankle.
The injury was suffered during Canada's second game of the tournament on Tuesday, a 7-2 victory over the Czech Republic.
Schwartz left the game in the first period with what was deemed a lower-body injury, but he eventually returned and scored a goal.
The 18-year-old missed Wednesday's 10-1 win over Norway. He is expected to be out of action for six weeks.
"It was a dream come true to make this team and to not be able to play in it is tough," Schwartz told the Canadian Press on Thursday. "There's a lot of emotions."
"It's unfortunate timing but sitting here feeling sorry for myself won't do any good," he said. "I'll be here to support the guys. There's people in the world going through worse things than I am so I'll keep that in the back of my mind."
A native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Schwartz plays for Colorado College of the WCHA. The 5'10", 184 lb. winger has 11 goals and 15 assists in 17 games in his rookie season.
He was a first-round pick (14th overall) of the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Canada's last round-robin game is Friday, when they play Sweden in a game that will likely decide the winner of Group B. You can see the action on TSN, TSN.ca, and TSN Mobile apps beginning at 3:30pm et/12:30pm pt.
Returning Players
Team Canada head coach Dave Cameron said after practice on Thursday that he fully expects forward Cody Eakin and defenceman Calvin de Haan to return to the line-up for Friday's game against Sweden.
Eakin had an existing injury from earlier in year, and tweaked it in the warm-up before the Norway game. de Haan had a leg injury after being hit into the board in the game against the Czech Republic.
Cameron also said that Olivier Roy will return to the Canada goal for the Sweden game. Roy started Canada's first two games before Mark Visentin got the call against Norway.
