Are you trying to make replacement reflectors for a damaged DB-8 antenna, or for a home made clone?
I've seen people use metal cooking racks as reflectors, as well as metal mesh... The cooking racks will last longer outside. Making a reflector out of wire would be quite time consuming and may not even stand up to the weather.
I also deleted your other thread as it was a duplicate. Please stick to one thread...

I have merged your two threads together... Please stick with one (1) thread. Final Warning.
The elements can be made from stiff copper wire; and in theory bsre copper wires soldered together to form a grid can be used as a reflector, as long as the wire is stiff enough not to warp or bend when exposed to the weather. Chicken wire sttached to a PVC frame seems to be a popular way to make a reflector.
There are possibly hundreds of websites out there with guides and designs... These things are quite simple but also require a bit of experimentation.

Another option is a Gray-Hoverman UHF antenna...

Once again, I have merged your threads.
can this work with old tv with out the coverter box
That depends on the signal you wish to pick up. You will be able to watch regular analog programming without a converter box, but in order to view digital signals a converter is required.

Yes it will work fine, but your old TV wont receive any of the HDTV channels in your area with out the converter box.
And there has to be some old analog TV signals around for the old TV to work.
Some parts of Canada are still in analog, all parts of the US are now digital, if your in the US you will need the converter box.

Bully - you just don't get it do you ? From this point all new posts on a subject that you already have a thread going will be deleted without notice . Persist and more drastic measures will be taken.
