BATON ROUGE, La. — Freshman reserve Adrienne Webb lead No. 7 LSU with 17 points as the Lady Tigers defeated Houston 72-54 on Saturday.
LSU senior guard Allison Hightower scored 16 points and Katherine Graham had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor Turnbow added 12 points for LSU (3-0).
Courtney Taylor led Houston (3-1) with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Turnbow helped LSU build a 31-22 halftime lead with 10 points and eight rebounds. She scored on three consecutive possessions during a span of nearly five minutes when Houston was held scoreless.
