I figured I'd create a thread documenting all open HD channels on fta. I'm scanning my arc from Express AM 44 at 11w to Galaxy14/Amc 21 at 125w. All members participation is encouraged. This will be the KU side and another thread will be initiated for C band as well.

The first of my sats yields 2 HD channels. It's a shame that there are only 2 open hd channels of approximately 115 on this sat:
Chilevision- 11855 H 44996 s2/qpsk pilot on
Bling Bling Music- 11917 H 44996 s2/qpsk pilot off

NBC Mountain & West, 11760 H 30000
Universal Sports, 11840 H 30000
NBC East & Central, 11880 H 30000
NBC East & Central, 12000 H 30000
All of the above are DVB-S2 8PSK, FEC 5/6, Pilot ON
This is not only the satellite with the funky skew, but these signals are very touchy.... A 33" or 36" dish probably won't cut it... I have to bump the BUD two or three clicks to get NBC....

Louisiana Public Broadcasting (four channels, plus feeds), 12072 H 16666
Oklahoma PBS, 12112 V 8702
The above are DVB-S2 8PSK.
PBS HD East & West, 12138 V 30001
PBS HD Occasional, 12149 H 14029
All of the above are using AC-3 audio. You must have a receiver with an AC-3 decoder built in, or have your receiver connected to home stereo equipment capable of decoding AC-3.

That's because the downconverter in the LNB, or the tuner in the receiver is operating at a very slightly different frequency...

If it's sd, why am I getting such excellent quality signal on my azbox where it's indicated as being s2/8psk?
