WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao spoke with ABS-CBN after returning from a a two-week vacation with his family in Japan and Australia. He told the network that Mosley will be tough fight and gave him credit as being a busy puncher with exceptional skills. Pacquiao defends his title against Mosley on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, who beat the likes of Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, Erik Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez, said Mosley is the most knowledgeable opponent of his entire fighting career.
“Mosley throws a lot of punches,” said Pacquiao. “[Of all the fighters I have faced], Mosley is the most knowledgeable in boxing."
Pacquiao will begin training camp on March 7. The Manila Bulletin reports that Pacquiao will spend four weeks in Baguio and then move his camp to the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California for the remaining four weeks. Junior middleweight prospect Shawn Porter is being named as one of the possible sparring partners for Pacquiao.
