I went to hook up my laptop last night and as soon as I changed the display to monitor 2 it started to reboot and crash A page came up but not long enough to get any info Also aother message came up at bottom right about display adapters also not long enough to read the message
any ideas?

make sure you have the latest display driver installed for your OS, check the manufacturer website....other than that, all I can think of is a hardware issue....im sure others might have some suggestions

Do you have an NVIDA video chip or card in that hummer?

It could be related to the NVIDA class action lawsuit (they lost) and it needs a trip back to the factory for the free fix...

from what I could see it was like the first one ,no fatal exception error though

display adapter reads mobil intel 965 express chipset says I have the best driver available

Have you setup the video configuration for the second display before switching over?

I had that problem when setting up the second output for my HDTV.

Video resolution was set wrong and the card went "EeeeKKKkk argh" PC locked up.
