The co-manager of Antonio Margarito, Francisco Espinosa, is worried about Ricardo Mayorga possibly getting an upset win over Miguel Cotto on March 12 in Las Vegas. If Cotto wins, he is scheduled to fight Margarito in a planned June rematch. Espinosa doesn't like the fight. He says Mayorga is strong and throws a lot of big punches in the early rounds. All it takes is one shot to end a fight.

"I really don't like that fight. Mayorga is still a risky opponent because he has a punch. He can suddenly catch Cotto with a bad shot and that's not good. Mayorga throws a lot of those kinds of punches, with a lot of force, and those type of punches are dangerous," Espinosa told Carlos Rosario.

Margarito is back training in the gym, but he is not ready to start sparring until getting further medial approval for a healed orbital bone, which got badly fractured during last November's decision loss to WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Espinosa expects him to be ready by the Cotto rematch in June. They want to erase any doubts concerning Margarito's TKO win over Cotto in 2008.

"Margarito is just fine and started training last week," said Epinosa. "The doctor will see him in two and a half months to see how the healing evolves. We'll see what happens with Cotto and Mayorga, to see if we make that fight in June or July with Cotto. We want to put an end to the doubts and may the best man win. We should be back to full training in a month and a half."

It looks to me like a promotional advert, he's really more concern that Cotto proofs that they cheated on the first one. Mayorga will give a decent fight but Cotto should take care of that and move on to Antonio's and Manny's rematches. I've been informed that even Floyd may be interested in a mega fight with the Puerto Rican. After all he also beat Mosley, Pac's next opponent.
