need help 97 silverado

my 4x4 it's hooked but the light it's blinking & no 4x4 i just put in the transfer case motor yesterday

make sure you have all wires connected......check to see if the actuator is moving......if not.....replace it

is it push button ... may be the harness to the transfer case or as simple as the fuse. if it is manual shift you could be looking at a bad transfer case or an improper hook up on the linkage

My '95 Suburban has a manual shift lever, but also has an electronic solenoid on the front differential. I had to replace it years ago.

may be the clutch in the transfer case.

solenoid would be my guess.

I know this is a couple of month late, but most likley the frt diff actuator is inoperative(electric /gas design), there is a refit kit that comes with a harness, spacer and a new design electric only actuator that works much faster and is way more reliable than the old design,
