Cobra and I were exchanging PM's just before the fight last night. We both had our predictions. He picked Bradley; I picked Alexander. We were both right. Bradley won on the scorecards. I predicted the fight won't go beyond 10. That is besides the point. Although some folks here are not enamored with Larry Merchant, I always enjoyed his witty final comments after a fight. Like the post above says, he scored a bulls-eye several times. Cobra's earlier posting also described the fight so well - "what fight?"

As I indicated in a response to an earlier thread announcing the fight, the media here, or more specifically, HBO, tend to make mountains of molehills. Poor Michael Buffer. I bet he had to swallow twice as he announced that "Bradley is now the new 'undispouted' ..... champion 'of the world'".

The fight is what is wrong with boxing these days. If it is only possible to start a class action suit about this, it would be for "false and misleading advertisement".

This would go down in boxing history as THE FIGHT THAT NEVER WAS.
