A good place to start would be to go to the control panel in your pc. Click on sound and audio devices and click on the hardware tab. There is a troubleshooting selection there that will carry you through to a possible solution.

control panel, performance and maintenance, system, device manager, and you should see your sound card, you may need to re-install driver...

Did you have sound before- and have you re-installed lately?


But with it saying that you have no sound- it means windows doesn't recognize any. Could be a driver conflict, turned off in the bios, or it actually doesn't have a soundcard installed.

One cheap way to get sound would be a cheap usb sound card. Under $5 and handy to have around IMHO
