Hi!

I have an eliptical dish 1000.2 with dishpro plus triple lnb (internal switch) receiving 119 on port 1, 110 on port 2,and 129 on port 3. No Switch or diseqc required.

I have another dish with circular lnb and I want to add 61.5W, could I use the the diseqc? which port must I use?

Thanks in advance!

The Dish1000 triple LNB is a power hog, it needs at least 600 mA of DC current to run it, adding another LNB to this setup may affect the receiver's power supply (if it's an FTA receiver).

But to do this all you need to do is connect the second dish's LNB for 61.5 to the LNB input port on the triple LNB, use DiSEqC pot #4 for 61.5.

If you have an FTA receiver look at the back were the LNB connection is, if it says 500mA then you will have problems with adding a second LNB, you will then have to use an external switch, the only one that works with this dish is the DPP44.

To connect this switch you run 3 coaxes from the triple LNB and 1 from the single LNB, 119 to port #1, 110 to port #2, 129 to port #3 and 61.5 to port #4 of the switch.

The power inserter for the switch has to have its own coax, run from it to the switch receiver port #1; the FTA receiver can run off any of the remaining 3 receiver ports.

Yes, the lnb has an input for an extra lnb, Iīll try this weekend.
I didnīt say Iīm testing with a SV8000, hope the receiver support it.

Thanks again.

Just look in the back of the receiver were the LNB coax attaches, it should say how much current it will supply, if it is 500 mA then you will have problems, you will have to use the DPP44 switch/power inserter to supply the necessary current to the LNB to get it to work right..

Terryl:

You are right, the receiver coax is 500; what if I connect the triple lnb and the 61.5 lnb? Could I damage the receiver or just not receive image and sound.

I donīt want to brick my receiver.

Thanks.
