Satellite : Intelsat Liftoff Boosts Broadband...
The United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carrying Intelsat 14 launched early Monday morning, successfully putting the Space Systems/Loral-built satellite into orbit. The satellite will replace Intelsat’s 1R bird at 315º E, offering high-power data services via C- and Ku-band transponders to Latin America, Europe and Africa.
The much-delayed launch (it was originally slated for Saturday, Nov. 14) also carries a hosted payload for Cisco’s Internet Router in Space program
