That would be the face of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Darryl Boyce after a missed check sent him face first into a cut-out hole along the glass at the Air Canada Center during last week’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Boyce left the ice immediately to seek medical attention after his nose appeared to be hanging on by nothing more than a tiny piece of skin.
As for the Leafs’ medical staff, they figured it would be a good idea to snap a picture before preforming any sort of cosmetic repairs. Boyce then tweeted the image, along with the comment “My face hurts but I don’t know why…”
