(Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens hope to move into the top spot in the Northeast Division tonight, when they welcome the Buffalo Sabres for tonight's clash at the Bell Centre.

Viewers in the Canadiens region can watch the game live on TSN at 7:30pm et.

Canadiens defenceman Jaroslav Spacek is doubtful for tonight's game and Brendon Nash has been called up from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.

For the Sabres, Jhonas Enroth has been called up from the Portland Pirates and will get the start in net.

With 68 points, Montreal enters today's action just one point behind Boston for the division lead. The Bruins have lost two straight and are also playing this evening against the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs.

Montreal recently snapped a three-game losing streak with Saturday's shutout win over the Maple Leafs. Prior to the victory over Toronto, the Canadiens had picked up a point in Thursday's shootout loss against the New York Islanders.

Tonight marks the end of a three-game homestand for the Habs, who are 19-7-5 as the host club this season. Following this evening's tilt, the Canadiens will head out on a three-game tour of western Canada. The swing begins with Thursday's stop in Edmonton.
