Ninite is a great way of installing the software you want automatically. Instead of having to download and install each program individually Ninite will do it all for you. Simply go to the Ninite website, scroll through Ninite's list of 70-odd apps, check-marking the ones you want, click and download the installer and run it. That’s it. That simple. You can now go off and do something less boring whilst Ninite downloads and installs the programs for you. The service offers the most current versions of nearly every popular mainstream program, including popular titles such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome,Pidgin, Thunderbird, iTunes, KMPlayer, Aimp, Paint.NET, GIMP, Irfanview, Open Office, Mi*****ft Security Essentials, Avast, Spybot, Flash (both IE and non IE), Silverlight, uTorrent, Dropbox,CCleaner, CDBurnerXP and 7-Zip Digsby and more.

Ninite is also clever and it will not install toolbars or anything else that the programs try to install. It also checks what language your PC is using and whether it is 64bit or not and then installs the correct version of the software.I'll bet the service saved me a couple hours of manual labor. It worked flawlessly, and it installed 90 percent of the programs I use regularly. Awesome. Just awesome. And did I mention Ninite is free?
Ninite works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Debian-based variants of Linux, such as Ubuntu.
A paid version, Ninite Pro, is available for business use.

The first time I heard of this site was from one of our system admins at work. He uses it for work he does outside of his job on the side.

If you use Windows, then it is the best way to get the apps that you need.
