JUPITER, Fla. -- Authorities have initiated a nationwide search for a gunman after Thanksgiving night turned deadly for a family in Jupiter.
Jupiter Police say they are looking for Paul Michael Merhige, 35, in connection with a shooting. They say Merhige is driving a 2007 blue Toyota Camry with Florida license plate number W42 7JT.
According to police Merhige lives on S.W. 88th Avenue in Miami and he is considered armed and dangerous.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Merhige was at a dinner party with 16 other people at 104 Via Veracruz near Pennock Lane.
The party was wrapping up when Merhige allegedly went outside, came back in with a concealed shotgun, and opened fire, killing three people. A fourth person, a little girl, died later in the hospital and one more victim is recovering from gunshot wounds.
A Jupiter Police spokesperson has identified the people killed as Raymonde Joseph, twin sisters Carla and Lisa Merhige and 6-year-old Makayla Sitton. Carla and Lisa Merhige were 33-years-old and sisters of the suspect in the shooting.
Police also identified the other person injured in the shooting as 37-year-old Patrick McKnight.
