I live on Vancouver Island in BC, is it possible for me to use a StarChoice receiver with my Viewsat Ultra to get true fta? if it is, what should the sat be aiming for? Thanks

You should be able to use that dish with that box and get True FTA, 123 west has some good programming on it... check lyngsat . com for a list of sats

Not much on 123.0W. 101.0W &/or 97.0W might be a better choice. But it is not me to pick a man's poison ? Take a look here:

All programming on 123W are mostly gone,,,,

For true FTA,,,,I woud recommend a 39 inch dish minimum for good reception,,,,a motor sure would help and an Invacom quad lnb is good to have the QPH-031

or you could set up a BUD (Big ugly dish) you could probably find some for free,,,,

or you could set yourself up with IKS system line nfusion, cnx dongle, kbox etc...with the existing dish you have

Many choices out there,,,,,you only have to decide what you wish to watch,,,

Cheers,,,
