I bought a 20db gain flat panel type ant.
It is usb powered and comes with a 15' cable, I added a 6' jumper and all is good.

With the instructions it says to use max of 15' jumper, I was wondering if a powered usb jumper of 25' or more as seen on fleabay would work?

With the antenna, the higher the better?

Thanks for your time

Maybe an Xtendex would work? It's a USB to CAT5 balun that can reportedly extend a USB connection up to 150 feet using cat5 cable.

from what I've read you can only add up to 3 usb repeaters at 16' giving you a total of 63' since you already have 15'

I’ve run 5 at 15’ each out to an AC powered USB hub to run my telescope and it’s USB cam, the USB to CAT5 is a better choice if your going to go a longer distance then that, even further if you go fiber optic, you can run a fiber link out to about 500 meters (without a boost) if you use one of these hummers.

I set my neighbors up with 4/16ft "active"(have a powered amp inside each connection) USB 2.0 cables with no problems. The info I read stated 80 ft was maximum. The cable were tripp-lite U026-016 if interested.
