Need Firefox help !

I accidently installed firefox 4, big mistake. I have removed it, retaining my settings. Installed firefox 3.6.15 and most all is working. However my bookmarks are not working. I can access them through the "organize bookmarks" but they are not there regularly to access, they are only in "Library". Tried to "restore" them to no avail. Help !

You should have right under organize bookmarks you should see bookmarks toolbar.What I do is right click on page to bookmark and select book this page and from dropdown folder list I select bookmark toolbar.The first six bookmarks run across right under the address bar and when they many of them I access them on the top right hand corner where you see (>>) Also it updated today to version 3.6.16 Maybe you are missing a bookmark addon as there is an option listed there.

Fire fox may have created a new profile for you. To see if you have more than one profile in XP: click start, then Run, enter %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and click OK. For Win 7 or Vista enter that term after clicking start in the search bar and do not hit enter, wait until the info appears.

Thanks guys. I got it fixed. I had saved the bookmarks, which I copied and pasted in the Mozilla - defaults - profile folder, while exploring the C drive. Noticed that just before doing this ff was updating to 3.6.16. Restarted ff and all was restored !
