I just bought the dish dp plus with DPP 44 switch and DISH HD dish 1000.4 reflector.Just wondering if I can get 118 too beside 100,119 and 129. I ve been research for a few days now, any help would be appreciate. I dont know why I buy these since I already have dish at home and currently get 110 and 119 and 129 with out using DPP 44 switch(using normal disq eq come with the receiver). May be I just want to watch international channel on 118 therefore I buy the 1000.4 dish pro plus western arc LNBF.
I will post picture of these up soon.

Regards

Running that many DP LNB's will pooch your FTA receivers power supply with out using the DPP44 switch.

If you have a DN receiver then it will power the LNB's just fine.

Do you currently have the triple head LNB from dish?

If so then it is highly advisable to use the DPP44 switch to power it or your FTA receivers power supply will be damaged over time.

If you add the 118 LNB (or combo 118/119 LNB) you will need the DPP44 to combine and power everything if using an FTA receiver.

And depending on the type of Dish LNB's you have now you may still need the DPP44 switch even with a dish receiver.

ok Terryl
so you saying that even though I get 110 119 129 with triple lnb by using a normal disq eq switch from the original sv 8000 HD rec but it will damage my receiver power supply overtime with out using the DPP 44 SW. The other qustion is I bought a DP 1000.4 Western Arc LNB. Will this pickup 118 as well and is there any viewable channel on 118 bird just because I want to watch international channels otherwise I return the DISH HD reflector as well as the 1000.4 plus LNB and just keep the DPP 44 SW. This is my current set up without DDP 44 SW. The first three attathment is the new one I just bought. Will this LNB pick up 118 as well or just 110,119,129 because it has only 3 ports? the last port is LNB in witch will not use.
