Washington, D.C. (April 7, 2011) -- DTV announced tonight that it had reached a new programming agreement with the sports channel YES, ensuring its subscribers will be able to watch the channel's New York Yankee games.

"Happy to announce we just finalized an agreement with the YES Network to continue carrying the Yankees games!" the DTV tweet said.

The old agreement had expired on April 2, but the two sides agreed to a temporary deal that would have ended at midnight if the new pact had not been signed.

YES has the rights to games played by the Yankees and the New York Nets basketball team.

DTV and YES did not reveal the financial terms of the new agreement.

Meanwhile, DN's battle with sports channel SNY still goes on as well. D*sh was forced to remove the channel last Friday when the two sides could not reach a new pact.

The channel, which carries the New York Mets, has published ads this week urging viewers to switch to another TV provider.
