Hello,
I just got the new dish 1000.4 and trying to get 110,118.7,119 and 129 at this dish. I am currently had dish 1000 plus with similar triple LNB head with separate LNB and able to get 110,119,129 but I was told with this new dish I can get 118.7 too so I took down the 1000 dish plus. Now with this new dish set up I am able to get 100 percent Q but not S as all and it show 119 on top right of the screen when I am at the right direction, However I dont know the correct TP or what are the correct setting in the MENU DISH setting.My connection is this:
port 1(119) to port 1 of the DDP 44 which is on the left of the LNB and port 2 (110)to port 2 DDP44 and port 3(129) to port 3 DPP 44. the fourth is LNB in which is not to be used and wondering what it purpose. If that LNB in is use for another sat I could have it set up and connect to port of the DDP 44 instead of the LNB in.
I have an SV 8000 HD receiver. To help a better look I attach some pics what are the dish looks like.
Thanks and regards
ps. I assume if I can get 119 therefore I can get 118.7 to just set to port 1 in the menu dish setting.

That dish lnb by itself will not get 118.75w, only good for 110, 119, 129 known as western arc. The 4th port lnb in is for installing another dish pointed to another single sat. However if you are connected to a dpp-44, that port is disabled. If you want 118.75w you will need another dish pointed there and connected to the dpp-44 switch port 4. You need to connect the receiver to port 1 of the lnb and peak dish on 119w. You should have the table for aiming the dish, ie; el, az, and skew angles.
Then the other 2 sats should fall into place. Then reconnect to the dpp-44. Make sure the power inserter is on output port 1 of the dpp-44. Are you using more that 1 receiver? The dish by itself will support 3 receivers and you could add 118.75w to the lnb in.

Hey Slo_hand2
First of all thank you for the reply. That is exactly my point of getting this DISH from the DN installation guy. He said I can get 118.7 with this also, otherwise I wouldn't buy it because I had dish 1000 plus with single bracket LNB and getting 110,119,129 already. Secondly when I am at 119 peak I get 100% Quality(orange light bar) but no green light bar(Signal).What is the TP setting in the DISH Installation menu by default it is TP 15615. I have SV 8000HD. I am aim the dish manually without any instrument.
Regards
PS what is the purpose of the LNB in for? Suppose I want to get 118 using another dish, I can connect directly to port 4 DDP 44 SW instead to the LNB in of the 1000.4 dish.

The default tp for 119w is 12224, however you will get no S%. Use tp 11 tp freq 12370 for peaking, chan 140 ~ 141 because that is a strong conus beam. Yes if you read the above you can put the 118.75w sat on the dpp-44 switch port 4. Again the purpose of the lnb input is to connect another sat lnb to it, again however this port is disabled if you use a dpp-44 switch.

ok I will try to get 119 and scan on the same port to see if this LNB catch 118.7 also. This info is from the guy who sell me this otherwise I dont need it because I can use my old dish 1000 plus as previous setting.
ps. so like you said. I can get 100% on Q but 0% on S or I can get S about 70% but can't get any Q% and lock it in the other 2 will fall in place. Is this normal for this type of dish.

It will not get 118.75w. Connect the receiver direct to the port 1 of the dish and use tp freq 12370 on the receiver and peak in 119w. If your skew is correct then 110w and 129w will fall into place. Your old dish and the dpp-44 combination will get you 118.75w if you add another dish to port 4 of the dpp-44 also. The newer 1000.4 western arc dish will get 118.75 if you use another dish pointed at 118.75w and plug into port 4 lnb in of the lnb and support 3 receivers if you do not use the dpp-44 switch. The only dish that will get 110w, 119w, 118.75w, and 129w is a dish 1000+, and it must be connected to the dpp-44 switch. However I do not know if these are still available.
You might want to look at the pics; http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?t=59873 #20
They still are available;
