I do a lot of crazy things, but sleeping tied up to a cliff will not be one of them.. Imagine if you sleepwalk or wake up and forget your 1000 ft above ground...

You are still strapped onto a rope, you may get a real bad wake up but you wont go anywhere.

One good thing about sleeping this way while camping is you don't have to worry about bears.
