I want to know what is the difference between dish 1000 plus and dish 1000.4 western Arc dish because I bought the dish 1000.4 and thought I would get 118 also but I dont think so otherwise it a waste of money for the 1000.4 dish. My previous dish 1000 plus set up with 110,119 and 129 with out using DDP 44 SW(pic attach) and get feedback said it might damage my sv 8000 HD receiver over time, is this true. I used each single DISH (digital lnbf) display on the each of the LNB bracket. However is the 119 suppose to be in the midle and left is 129 and far right is for 110. Is this correct and 119 go tp port 1 of the DPP 44 SW,110 for port 2 and 129 for port 3 of the DPP 44 SW, before I just used the dish eq switch from SONIC VIEW reciever.
Regards.

That is a dish 1000, the dish 1000+ has a different type lnb in the center that can pick up 118.8/119.(see pic) Anyway, from behind the dish the lnb order would be 129, 119, 110 left to right. The connection to the dpp44 is correct port 1 119, port 2 110, and port 3 129.

thnx for the info bkr, so do I mustuse DDP 44 SW for the dish 1000 or the 1000.4 if I decide to keep the 1000.4 dish but I dont see what is the point of keeping 1000.4 dish if both get all 110 119 and 129.

You do not must have to use the dpp44 switch. It just makes it easier to connect to single or multiple receivers. Plus the dpp44 switch uses a power inserter on output port #1 (do not connect a fta receiver there with power inserter) to take the load of power requirements and strain on the fta receiver. There is functionally no difference between the 2 dishes, only 1 is newer and more modern. But your original requests if I remember that you wanted 118.8w also for the international programming. Talk to that dn installer that sold you the 1000.4 and see if he will swap for the dn 1000+ dish.

Are you certainly that I do not required the DPP 44 SW for the 1000.4 because I did research that I require the DPP 44 SW if I used the 1000.4 dish. I had 1000.4 dish replace my dish 1000 and had noticed no difference except been aware that if I used dish 1000.4 must require the DDP 44 SW otherwise caused damage to the receiver in the long run.
