I have 82&91 going to the sub. Now i want it for the fta rec too. I red that i have to use a 3x4 multiswitch. Why not the 4x4 multiswitch. So i wont be able to connect the 91 lnb. Any suggestions.

You can't use a 4x4 switch with BEV equipment as the receivers don't support 22K tone switching. I'm guessing your BEV setup just uses a single SW21 now? If so, just get another SW21 and replicate that setup.

The total number of recievers (both FTA and sub) you have in your setup will determine what switch will work for you. If you only have 1 FTA and 1 sub then you can use 2 SW-21s. If you have between 2 and 4 receivers then you will have to go with 2 3x4 switches and a SW-21 for each of your sub receivers and either a SW-21 or a Diseqc switch for your FTA recievers. The 4x4 switch will work with your FTA units but not with your sub and the SW-44 switch will work with your subs but WILL NOT work with most FTA. The Zinwell brand of 3x4 switch is highly recommended and the DN brand of SW-21s is also recommended.

We need first to know just exactly what lnb type you have and what switches if any you have w/ your bev sub before we can give any logical advice.

Replicating the existing setup with a sw21 switch gets my vote

I have a sw44 switch going to 3 subs with standard lnbs

I have a sw44 switch going to 3 subs with standard lnbs
then just add fta box to it

Then you don't need to add any switches (unless you have a dual tuner receiver that's using two outputs from the switch). If you have a free port, just run a cable from the switch to your FTA receiver and you're good to go.

You can try connecting directly to the SW-44 however be fore warned that it may not work. You may find that you are missing channels on either the horzontal or vertical transducers when you do a scan. Not many FTA boxes work well with the SW-44. If it doesn't work post back here as there is a method of using a combination of 3x4 switches and the SW-44 which will give you the capability of connecting to 6 STBs.

Sw44 doesnt work with the vs 9000hd. Here is my setting: 3x 3x4 sw, 3x sw21, 2x 2x1 diseqc and a 22khz sw. Im not sure about one thing. I get 2 cables that go to the fta. One from the 22khz (110, 118/119), and one from a 2x1 disesc sw (82&91). Can i connect these 2 cables to the remaining 2x1 diseqc sw to end up with one cable to the fta.

The SW-44 might work if you use the SW-42 settings in you Antenna Setting area. This use to work with the VSPro but I don't know if the VS9000HD is set up the same way. If you do use the SW-44 do not connect the VS to the power inserter on the switch, use one of the other 3 ports. If you use the 3x4 switch I would recommend getting a good quality 4 x1 DiseqC switch and connecting as I show in the attached diagram. Remember the fewer switches you have the less signal loss.

My 2 dishes are away from each other so i cant use the 4x1 sw to connect them as shown in the diagram. Im not sure if i can connect both cables (one from each 3x4 sw)
to a 2x1 22khz sw instead. Then the output
would go to a 2x1 disech with the other cable.

You can connect everything according to the above diagram to preserve your subscription setup. Splitting the LNB outputs with 3x4 switches IS approved by Bell as well, so the subscription receivers won't have an issue with everything connected that way. You would then use a 22K switch to feed the FTA receiver(s). Also remember to ground everything in accordance with Bell's installation guidelines and local codes.

Sure you can, just run two coax cables per LNB to the switch. It helps to have all the switches in one place anyways...

Placing 2 22khz sw before the diseqc doesnt work. One cable (82&91) on port 1 and the other one (110, 118/119) on port 2. Both 22khz sw are ecoda brands. Im getting signal from each cable without the 4x1 disech. Any suggestions.

Can you draw us a diagram of your setup? To be honest with you and I have been tinkering with dish testing for a few years now I have never heard of switch referred to as a 2x1 Diseqc and I think maybe where you are running into problems. If you follow my diagram in post #11 it will work and from the equipment you said you had in post #10 the only thing you will need to buy is a 4x1 Diseqc switch.

I found out the diseqc 2.0 sw doesnt work with my vs 9000hd. So i replaced it with the one that came with the receiver. It works

Glad you got it working. Now for a heads up. The Diseqc switches that come packaged with most receivers are poor quality and have a very high failure rate. Do yourself a favour and get either a Heavy Duty Cheita or an Emp Centauri diseqc switch and save ypurself from potential future headaches. Also: With the number of switches you have in your setup you should also ensure they are all properly grounded.
