What type of net you call that? How much it costs and where you can buy it?
Thanks.

With gas at $ 1.46 a litre, how can you afford new toys? Or do you just buy them to have them and then down to the supermarket to buy the fish ?
On my end a new rod, some line, tandem hooks, floating jigs, and lots of night crewlers and leaches..

NO Sir.. can't beat the Fresh Air and being out with friends and family, the thrill of the TRY for the catch .. and " you can't take it with you $$ and I haven't got 2 pennies to rub together, but atleast i'm happy and live for TODAY.. "" I am 5 min. from Rice Lake by boat so Saturday morning we were out at 5:30am casting and catching by 6Am . Gas here is $1.39 and just up the road on the reservation territory it's $1.19 so here we go with the 45 gallon drums on the trailer.. Woo woo

That close EH. I'm 10 min from Harris Boat works.
Was a good day Saturday but had trouble getting eyes small enough for the pan. We did end up maxing out by 11am and had a good feast that afternoon.
As for tackle, well I had a look through the boat lockers last week and though I had enough to start a tackle shop up. LOL
Please do brag.. How big where the eyes???? Any over 10 LB.. ?? I have cooked a few larger than 10 Lbs.. Normaly over 5 lbs its catch and release for me, but sometimes they dont survive the photo session.. Its all a question of the size of the frying pan.. Bigger is better...LOL
Where I go in Northern Quebec The lake is still frozen...Should be fishable this weekend.. Heading up for a week beginning of June..
im headed up to the lower french river this comming weekend for opening of walleye.all i need there is minnows, the fall is when ya get the big ones ,the spring the odd 7-8 pounder but mostly smaller one,s with the slot sizes up there it,s hard to keep and catch the ones they want you to keep, but im still allowed 1 over 27 inch.
iv fished walleye and musky for a long time with my best muskie going 51 inch.... all ya need for musky is a heavy action rod with a good balanced reel and i like spiderwire braid for them....but if you fish the kawarthas all you need is a madium action rod,the muskies are not that big there,a 25 pounder is a huge fish there.also we usually catch muskys there fishing for walleye with a bottom bouncer and a worm harness.
I had to get a new engine battery a few weeks ago. Replaced the trolling motor batteries last year. For the last couple of weeks I've been waiting on Bull Shoals Lake to crest. We had 20+ inches of rain easter weekend and the lake has risen about 40 feet. LOTS of logs, limbs and trees floating out there and I can't afford the deductilble to buy a new lower unit if I hit one. Well, it finally crested a few days ago and is falling about two tenth's of a foot per day. Should be good to go by the weekend.

The last couple yrs on Rice they put a slot size in, 13 to 19 1/2 inches. Most of what we caught were 24". We managed to get 4 each around 18".
For the big boys we go down to the Bay of Quinty where we routinely get eyes over 10lbs. I like to eat the smaller ones though and live release the rest.

I don't know if I overspent but I finally got my boat. Picked it up last fall and very happy with it so far.
