I hope we get this mega major PPV Boxing event this Saturday night.

Does anyone think that Mosley has a chance?

I think the Pacman will win by TKO in the later rounds.

Manny probably is going to outclass him. I'll be shocked if this makes it past the 9th.

Great article in todays newspaper on Manny and Roach...
Apparently Manny spends tons of money and time helping people in the Philipines... Roach wants him to spend more time here promoting
the fight... Manny says the fight is sold out and he wants to spend time in his country and doing things that will help his countrymen.
Also stated that when Roach told Manny in his corner late in the fight to knock Margarito out.. Manny replied "no,, I have hurt him enough"
During a clinch with Margarito... a ringsider heard Manny ask Margarito if he was ok....
I am pretty much sold on Manny being a humanitarian and quite a compassionate person... along with being a gentleman...
Hard to say about too many boxers anymore.... maybe Floyd Patterson, Alexis, old school boxers....
I am not really into saturdays boxing match that much... I really like both fighters... both are true gentlemen...
I posted earlier that Shane lives about 5 or 6 miles from me.... and the people around his neighborhood just love him... a very likeable gent.
He shops at a Mexican market by his house.
Best of luck to both fighters... may the better man win!!

You know that during the "pre-fight" pose, Manny strained to look serious. He just could not stop laughing....same as the other "confrontations" with his adversaries.

Indeed, those close to him and know him well know how sincere he is about the biggest fight of his life and it is not against Mayweather. It is about ending poverty in his country.

Like you, I admire Shane a lot.

Boxing is a brutal sport, come to think of it. It is especially tough for someone like Manny, whose character and personality outside the ring is warm, humanitarian, and compassionate as you observe. He could not hurt a fly. Yet, inside the ring, he must take on a different personality because of the nature of his vocation. This requires an incredible mental and physical stamina.

What you need is a good recliner bolodigi!!! cant't beat a good fluffy recliner... good for these old bones....

Funny,, talking about fighters who dont really seem like fighters... any of you remember Floyd Patterson??
His fame is Sonny Liston knocked him out twice in the 1st round .... but he was heavyweight champ for a long time..
Anyway,,,, Floyd was so shy,,, he would not even look at his opponent he would look away... and when he was interviewed,,,, he would look down at the ground.
NEVER once did i hear him say anything bad about his opponent. Another true gent. Even when Cassius Clay was badmouthing him and talking
his usual nonsense right in his face.... think he called Floyd an "Uncle Tom" Floyd didnt blink... he just kept quiet.
So funny,,, Clay or Ali,,, whatever you want to call him,,,, insulted everyone to the max.... called Joe Frazier an ape.... etc etc.... never shut up... all insults...
and not hype... just cheap shots.
and now.... he cant talk.... funny what life does to us eh?
oops... off the topic again.. sorry gang.
