Ashton Kutcher may be returning to prime-time TV in a big way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "two sources close to the deal-making" say Kutcher is poised to replace Charlie Sheen on the popular CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

The deal came together quickly in the wake of Hugh Grant passing on the opportunity to join the show. Now sources say Men creator Chuck Lorre has crafted a storyline to introduce Kutcher in a way that satisfies the network and studio. "It's really funny," says one source. "People are going to love it."

CBS has not confirmed the report, and Kutcher, who has nearly 7 million followers on Twitter, posted the following message on Thursday night:

I'm starting to become convinced that people put my name in articles just to improve their SEO or hoping I'll tweet it.

As they say in television, stay tuned.

And, Sheen has sent a unique statement to USA TODAY: "Ashton Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer. Oh wait, so am I!! Enjoy the show America, Enjoy seeing 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."

Kutcher hinted at the news from CBS and Warner Bros., when he tweeted this last night: "What's the square root of 6.25?" For those not paying attention in math class...that's 2.5."

Ashton Kutcher will reportedly replace Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.'

Experts say Kutcher could bring a younger, more female audience to the show, which is the linchpin of CBS' Monday night primetime programming. Sheen was fired from the sitcom after a string of incendiary interviews and incidences of drug use.

I would have to agree with you there.
What made the show so funny was that charlie didn't need to act at all, he pretty much lived that way..lol
