I was looking around for an LNB to pick up 118.7 (circular). I am now wondering if the standard lnb that comes with the expressvu dish setup is good or not. Let me know please, and thanks in advance.

No it will only work for 119, 118 takes a special LNB.

It has to work in the 11.5 to 12.2 GHz range and be circularly polarized.

. . . just like to add that depending on your location a larger dish(30") may be required for 118. To receive 118/119 you need a special low frequency circular polarity LNB as others have stated.

You need one of these hummers.

Take a look at this site,

Select the Anik F3 Ku beam, zoom into your location, then click on your location, it will give you an estimated dish size needed for 118 at your location.
