I have an oval eliptical 24" dish with two Dual Dn Legacy LNBs for Sats 110 and 119. I have found when the weather gets very cloudy with dark clouds and or heavy rain that the Dual Legacy LNB which is connected to Sat 119 seems to lose signal before the LNB that is connected to Sat 110. I was wondering if the LNB that is connected to 119 is swapped for DSS Dual EMP Lnb 0.3 db which is also a Dn Legacy would that make a difference because of the low noise compared to 0.5 db which is what I have now. It has a Low noise figure of 0.3 dB for improved signal reception (specially on weak signal) and low interference. Please let me know if I should do this and if I do would 119 Sat signal not be lost quickly with the clouds. Thanks in advance.

Personally the only thing that I seen that works for "rain fade" is a lager dish. I have experience the same as you when weather moves in. I would suspect that it just happens to be the direction that your storms come from. But as you said, easy to switch LNB to SAT and see if it follows that LNB.

From what I have read about LNB decibel testing, it seems to be subjective, particularly when dealing with different frequencies.
