Only 10M ? not enough! There should also be some jail time for the officers, just like there is for a hacker.

I am sure (from being experience criminals)that they made 10 times that amount over the years and they are still making it somehow.

Just like anyother company,if they have a loss of income in any way the consumer will in some way pay for it.

I live in Canada and have dealt with this company more than once, constantly getting poor service for outrageous prices. As another said, $10 million is only a few months profit and does nothing to them. I agree there should be jail time, it is the only way to get the message across to these multinationals that they cannot continue to screw the consumer and get away with it. Now it is time for the oil companies to face the same, price per barrel at its lowest in a long time but price at the pump at its highest. where are the consumer watchdogs for this stuff, never mind going after some guy who is getting a few free tv channels, lets hit the big dogs who rip off people at the rate of millions per quarter.

Your right LOL, but how can anyone control the Oil companies profit? They made 53 million unearned profits. None of the governments wants to do something about it.Instead they allowed China to buy large shares of the Oilsands in Alberta

China is buying many crucial properties around the word. The western World has made a power house out of a enemy.

While the $10 milllion fine is the max they could levy, I think they should be forced to re-inburse all their customers 15% of their bills retro active to the beginning of the contract. Now that would be meaningful AND get Bev's attention.
