Okay so I have a Dish 1000+ setup on a DPP44 switch, I want to add 82 and 91.. how would I do this. I have read that using a a DP21 is NOT the way to go as they respond to the same commands. I'm planning on using this set up on a Sonicview 8000HD, is that even possible?

DPP Twin LNB?
DP Twin LNB?

HELP!

From what i have read i believe you can get it all this i looked at magic lnb holders that was here in the switch section you might have to use a dish 500 along with the 1000 and a pair of dpp44. read the though and search the switch section for pics of the magic holders. Iam sure you can get all these i would if i could get 82,but some else will have to tell you where to go. check this to start [ http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?64631-Need-a-switch-for-6-sats-and-4-boxes].

The simplest way would be to use a Twin or Quad LNB and a SW21 switch. The Twin can be DPP or DP. If using a Quad, DP will work as well. If you you use a legacy Twin or Quad, you will need to use a 22K switch in place of the SW21 switch.

This pic is not exactly the set-up needed, but you get the picture:

I have a similar(DP Ywins with power inserter) setup, but I am using the Ecoda switch. I had the DP21, which are now in a landfill somewhere.Very happy with the Ecoda's.

This may be what your looking for. The only thing I would do different in this setup is use a DishPro Twin instead of the DPP Twin for the second dish. You will need a SW21 providers switch not the DP21 that is a different switch. The 22Khz Ecoda can be used also.

Use diseqc ports 1 or 3 for sat 91 and 2 or 4 for sat 82 on the dishpro twin settings.

So did you the first time around lol. Sorry didnt mean any disrepect towards you and should of said so before I posted. Not my style to want to show anybody up and I apologize if you took it that way, I was more interested in pointing out the difference between the two switches the DP21 and the SW21 which I think the OP was a little confused with and the default settings for the 119-91, 110-82 internal diseqc switch settings. The OP now has the best switch diagram possible for that setup, again nice work.

Okay... in my case I should use a quad DP LNB combined and a SW21 switch, correct?

would this setup work correctly on a SV 8000? ( ie software hickups that would prevent me from pulling this off, etc...)

No need for a Quad unless you are connecting up 3 or 4 receivers. If you do have more then 1 receiver, then you will need a SW21 switch for each receiver.
