can someone tell me if the openbox will work on this channel on sat 40.5W, its on tp 4169.

It used to be on sat 97w - galaxy 19, but its not working anymore..

Unfortunately this sat is circular and the openbox doesn't do to well with a linear c band lnbf. It did however scan in on my azbox, 5 tv and 13 radio. In order to obtain this channel with your openbox you will need a 10' mesh dish and a wide band corotor and a c band lnb.

I also have a 10ft up n working on sat 55.5w
So will the azBox decrypt the dvb-s2?
Great post patsfan, I was looking for this info too

No decryption needed. The azbox will open all fta channels including s2/8psk and 4:2:2 channels and feeds. It will not open encrypted channels though.

thanks costactc and cooltech.. now i just have to look around and see how much this azbox costs.. so the openbox wont work in the c band at all, cause my family member didnt want to spend to much money on the receiver.

The openbox works great on c band but struggles with circular sats, especially s2 channels as the above mentioned are. The openbox will open most tp on circular sats but usually will have to be programmed manually. To answer your question cooltech, yes those channels are open on my azbox ultra.

I don't mind setting it up manually, I just don't
want to purchase the ird and get stuck with it not working.
As I have been looking around, an the azbox is alot more $$ then the openbox.

I have 2 azbox ultra hd stb, not as pricey as the premium+ but stll more then double the price of the openbox. What size dish do you have?

I posted a pic of the tp info earlier on in this thread, I just happened to be on that sat last night and took 2 pics of the hd channels to show that the azbox is opening them up:
