BoxingScene.com had been advised that Manny Pacquiao's trilogy fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, scheduled for November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will be carried by HBO Pay-Per-View. Both HBO and Showtime presented lucrative packages to secure the fight, but HBO made an offer that Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, couldn't refuse.

Pacquiao briefly parted with HBO in May, when his pay-per-view fight with Shane Mosley was carried by Showtime, who managed to secure the fight by including their parent company CBS in the package. CBS showcased the "Pacquiao-Mosley Fight Camp 360" reality series across their network, which exposed the series to millions of additional viewers. This time around, HBO made a similar move by including their parent company, Time Warner, in the Pacquiao-Marquez discussions.

“We’re thrilled that Manny Pacquiao’s November 12 fight with Juan Manuel Marquez will be presented by HBO Pay-Per-View. We look forward to working with Top Rank on this special event,” said an HBO spokesman.

i like the hbo announcers better than showtime. i also thought that showtime did a good job with the 360 coverage.they had a postfight 360 after the pac mosley fight that was real good. i bet hbo does something similar with 24/7
