I get no LOCKED on 110 so the receiver cant identify the satellite in antenna setup. Would that be the problem.

A little more info would help; was it working before, is there an in line switch, brand of lnb/switch/receiver, dish size, etc.

I installed the dish on sunday w/ 3 sat (110,119,129). The receiver can identify 119 but it cant for 110 & 129. The Q is 85 for 129 but lower for 110, about 65. 110 takes time on the meter before it gets LOCKED.

Finally the receiver is able to identify the sat but I have to turn LNB POWER off and on everytime. I think the receiver is having hard time to feed the LNBs.

Depending on the dish you have you may need a power inserter, or if you have an old rceiver you can connect it to the dish and leave the power on all the time, just for the power.

I have a 18x24 eliptical dish with 3 sat feeding 2 receivers (2 diseqc 4x1 switch). Which power inserter should I buy.

Switching LNB POWER on and off is painfull each time to get higher Q. I have a 18x24 eliptical dish with 3 circular lnbs. A power inserter would help??? Which one

Only a few switches require power to be applied to them/What switch do u have?

Sorry they will not accept a power inserter.. They are not designed for them.

How about an inline amplifier. The cable is 100ft+

Use better coax, good RG-6 quad with a pure copper center would work that far, or go to RG-11 it can work out to 250 feet, but requires special connectors and tools to put them on, as the coax is much thicker then RG-6.

An in-line amp will just add noise to the system, unless you get a real one ($250+) and not one of those $25 junk in the trunk ones.

Or get a powered switch, there are ones that have DC power inverters and then there are AC powered ones, but you have to get one that will work with your LNB's.

Here is a good place to start looking for a powered switch.

Why do you have to switch the LNB power on and off?

... this thread is a continuation of this one: http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?74017-no-LOCKED-on-the-meter, should have stuch with one thread.

btw - I use twist on rg11 connectors ( no special tools required)

Ahhhh then we should merge them.....

Twist on? I like the twist off, I keep loosing the bottle opener.

Why do you have to switch the LNB power on and off?
Because of lower Q. Otherwise the receiver cant identify 110 and 129. 119 is ok

I bought an inline amp to get higher Q but I only higher S. How come. Would a power inserter increase the Q signal.

Re-tune the dish u have ,get a better LNB or get a bigger dish is the only way to increase Q.
Inline amps increase noise along with everything else.. Useless as far as I have ever seen.. Others may have had better success but I have not heard of anyone yet.

How about adding a powered multiswitch
