I just got an old desktop and trying instal win 7 only. It's a cleaned computer from work. I have changed the battery voltate already to new battery CV2032. When I turned it "on" I got the following message:-
Alert! system battery voltage is slow
F1 key to reboot
F2 to run the set-up utility.
After setting up utility to change the date and time, I have pressed F1 to reboot. It continuously saying F1 to reboot and nothing happens. Battery is new as I said above. Any idea what's wrong please???? Thanks for your help on this.

I would suggest opening your pc and locate the CMOS battery. i looks like a big clock battery on your motherboard. press down the battery with one of you fingers to ensure the battery is properly seated. obviously ensure that the pc is turned off before doing so. if this does not resolve you problem, i would suggest replacing the battery.

Changing a battery is quite easy. It is most likely a coin size silverish
colored shape. 3 volts is what the battery should read. You can check it
with a multimeter. However, before you remove it go into your bios and copy
your settings, as they will be lost once you remove the battery for
replacement. After you replace the battery go back into your settings and
change anything that comes up different as the default setting to what you
had before you removed the battery. Save your settings and reboot.

thanks fonger and n3uspeed. I already changed the battery to new and lifted the pins little bit to make sure the proper contact. message still says the same thing. Strike F1 to boot, F2 to set-up utility. when striking F1 to boot it continously says same and never reboot. It's a Dell computer and don't know how to resolve. If you know or can help me, that would be great. Thanks

You may have other problems that pertain to the voltage regulation circuit.
However as simple as this may seem try cleaning all your battery contact points with a good clean eraser. It will remove all corrison along with greasy finger contact. Been careful with the fingers of the battery contacts but they can still be cleaned.
Let us know how you make out.

"cleaned computer" - from work? Can you explain cleaned?
By the way, why did you replace the battery? Did the computer not boot?
This sounds like the DOS start screen to me and I've been here... Have you tried another hard drive? Preferably one that works in another computer?
If compatable drives, simply unplug the one and plug in the other swapping wires in the back on the drive.
Reboot your cpu.
If it boots and your screen does not prompt you, you know for sure your other hard drive is needing to be reformated with a valid copy of windows 7 or you installed it incorrectly or... the drive is toast.:D
This is one reason I keep a spare drive that is current.
