I have a DN500 oval dish with two dual lnb's. Pretty standard stuff. I aimed at 119 first as instructed & can pull it in 99%. The skew was at the 90 mark. When I switch to the 110 lnb, loosen the skew screws & turn it to try to pull in 110, nothing comes in tho. One problem is, when I loosen the skew screws the dish becomes rather loose & shaky so getting a reading with the meter becomes almost impossible. Re the skew settings, it would help to know how far clockwise I should go- I read that the skew for a 19/110 combo is 121, so I when I couldn't find anything I set it at 121 & returned to the stb, but neither 119 or 110 was coming in at all!

Which LNB is your 119 & which is your 110? The 119LNB should be on the east side and the 110LNB should be on west side. If you have them backwards you will loose both sats when you skew the dish.

I have 119 on left & 110 right, it's printed right on the plastic housing.

Gonna play with it tomorrow if the heat doesnt phase me. Do you have a DN500 dish? What is the skew on yours?

that depends on location
keep in mind when you skew you have to change elevation

well the directions I read must have been too simplistic cuz basically it said to set skew straight on, 90*, and once you found 119, to switch the meter over to the other lnb for 110, and then turn skew to right until 110 came in.

elev for 119 is 26.1 & for 110 it's 31.1 so I guess the skew can't be very drastic.

I'm hitting the sack soon, but appreciate your answers. Will read them tomorrow.

so pick around 29 for elevation and 121 for skew

If your using 2 LNB's for 110 and 119 on the same dish then you must select the multi LNB selection, (110/119 if you used dishpointer.com) set the skew first then find 119 using TP 12297L according to their AZ directions, 110 should be there if the skew is set right.

When using 2 LNB's you will be pointing in-between the two satellites, not pointing directly at 119 or 110.

I did all acc to plan & though I get CNN intermittently on 119 tp 12486, none of the channels on 12297, like fox news, come in. Also no 110 tho I got a strong signal from the meter.

So I went back & decided the skew was skewing things up. I set it back to 90 & aimed for where 119 should be acc to landmarks seen on Dishpointer. It seems easier to aim when the dish is not twisted at an extreme angle. I found 119 & before adjusting skew I check the stb, 119 is coming in 79 & 79 for tp 12297, & foxnews 205 & cnn are coming in fine, with 79&79 s&q. The odd thing is, I check 110 before I adjust the skew, & it's coming in 70 & 99%!! & for example, on tp 12224, Hist Intl Ch 121 is coming in fine. So I'm gonna leave it. No skew necessary.
