I'm interested in connecting a DISH 1000 Plus to one Limesat HD Max receiver. Does anyone know if the DP44 switch is required, or will a 4x1 diseqc switch work? If I use a
4x1 diseqc switch, will it work properly and have the same picture quality and reliability as a DP44 switch?

It is a DPP44 switch and it is required as a Dish1000 Plus has DP LNBs. 119(Port#1), 110(Port#2), 129(Port#3), & 118(Port#4) on the input ports of the DPP44. Connect receiver output port#1 on the DPP44 to the power inserter and leave it empty or a Provider receiver can be placed on the inserter/port#1. You can then use Ports 2,3, & 4 for FTA receivers.

Do you know what the difference is between a DP44 switch and a 4x1 diseqc switch? What would happen if I connected 119(Port#1), 110(Port#2), 129(Port#3), & 118(Port#4) on the input ports of the 4x1 diseqc switch and connect the output port of the 4x1 diseqc switch to my FTA receiver? Also, could you explain what a Provider receiver is? Thanks for your help.

The DPP44 Switch has a power supply with it that plugs in your wall socket. It gives you the power you will need to power that DP LNBF's on your Dish 1000+
A 4x1 does not have a power source & all FTA receivers do not have enough juice to power the DP LNBF's.
Simple fact is...a 4x1 will not work. The DP LNBF's are really power hungry

Personally for me on my Dish 1000+
I have
119 Port 1
110 Port 2
118 Port 3
129 Port 4

I only suggested 118 on Port#4, as input port#4 can be used for FSS input and even though 118 is not FSS, it is the closest to a FSS Sat being it is a low freq. circular polarity sat. Either port will, of course, work just fine for 129 & 118. Port#1 and #2 are the important ones for 119 & 110.

Thanks
