moving 61.5 to 129

i'm pretty sure this will work but wanted confirmation before venturing on the roof.

i have a dish pointing to 61.5 which unfortunately is void of most HD channels now, can I move this dish to 129 to catch that bird or is a special LNB needed for 129? Thanks in advance :thumbsup:

Your existing lnb will work fine .

For me,129w is below the horizon.

I would go to the link below and see if your current dish will work, just zoom into your area and click on your location, it will give you an estimate on the dish size needed, some areas have problems with the 18" dishes trying to receive 129W, select the CONUS beam as the others are spot beams, and the Canadian beam is not working.

dish would have to be aimed at the ground.
I have an old microyal receiver that lets you enter your longitude and the longitude of the sat you want to get,and it tells you the dish elevation or if it's below the horizon.I thought the eastern arc covered the east coast.

Sorry if I confused other, I just replied/confirmed Anthony's doubt. I happened to re-allocate dish last weekend. There is no special/change lnb required, whatever I had for 61, works for 129.

thanks guys, never fails though. day off i had we got hit with a thunderstorm so looks like the move to 129 will have to wait another week.
