hi everyone
i am having issues with Pixelation then the channel drops off completely and says week signal...then after a few mins it comes back then starts over again and its always the same channels
in the morning those same channels seem to work fine..as the day progresses it gets worse..
anyone heard of this??...anyone ideas on what to do to resolve this issue??
i am using a CM4228 antenna and no signal booster it is about 25 ft in the air
i am in the GTA

You may be at the edge of the station coverage for the height antenna you are using.

all depends on your location to the transmitters.....could just need a rotor to point to them....
try using tvfool and look to see where they are and where your antenna is pointed......

I"m finding a free program called PathProf out of the UK is a big help to figure out coverage. You have to use older 3 arcsec hgt files that are a little harder to find since the USGS stopped using it (try google of
mirror.ufs.ac.za/srtm3 and find your region--say north_america)
Look in the FCC or other database for the location of the transmitter and figure out your lat and long and see what the program has to tell you about where to put an antenna.
Lots of work to figure out what the TVfool site might tell you though--that you need a better antenna in a better spot.
The fact that the signal drops during the day is interesting--it may be that you are slightly behind an obstruction in the path to the transmitter and that diffraction lets you get the signal until the air warms enough to dissipate the refractive bending over the obstruction.

10 extra feet will help quite a bit, try adding another 10 feet to the mast.
