very stupid question what is the better speed to burn a movie ?

I usually go with half the rated speed of the dvd/cd....ex. if its rated for 16X I burn it at 8X....main thing is do not set it too low because the laser has a hard time "slowing down"...so usually 8X is a good speed to go with.
